Pornography

One area of our faith that can be explored is our view of pornography. God created sex and lust. They are good. Pornography increases our lust and gives us more of a desire for sex.

The link at the end of this paragraph goes to a site with porn samples. Don't worry, neither you nor your computer will get infected, but only mature Catholics (and others mature enough to enjoy porn) should follow this link: Porn Samples.

What do you think?

If porn isn't your cup of tea, that doesn't mean anything except that you don't like it. We dislike television programs that others like, as we do food, sports, music, pets, etc.. God allows us to like and dislike different things.

If you like porn, great! God created the world for us to enjoy. Anytime you find something you like, it is finding something God created for you. Thank Him for it. Enjoy it. Don't let people take away what God has given you.

It is interesting that the vast majority of Christians think pornography is sinful. But Jesus doesn't want us to follow the majority. He said, "Many are called, but few are chosen." We get our knowledge of truth, love and righteousness from God, not from public opinion and the seminaries. Our ability to enjoy porn without guilt is an example of how some of us really are free from the law of sin and death.

Intro to Ideas for Mature Catholics

This blog will present ideas for the more mature Catholic. Just ideas, no dogma. There are lots of possibilities. Jesus said, "According to your faith be it unto you." Our faith makes our reality.

There are less mature Catholics who want and need to believe in the law, the Pope and tradition. Whatever is written in this blog is no criticism of them. If at any time a reader feels they are being robbed of a faith that gives them life, I suggest they leave. But, if they dare to explore the possibilities, they will find themselves on an adventure into other realms of faith that will be liberating and exciting.
